The lamp can digitally regulate the output of the light and is therefore protected against overheating. As usual with Fenix products, it is also protected against reverse battery insertion.
It is powered by a Li-ion battery Fenix RCR123A 700 mAh. If necessary, a regular CR123A lithium battery can also be used, but with a limited output of max 150 lm. An indicator LED in the control button informs you of the battery status.
The headlamp is made of aerospace grade aluminum alloy A6061-T6 with a hard anodizing type III coating, can withstand a fall from a height of 2 meters and is waterproof up to 2 meters for 4 hours in compliance with IP68 standard.
