The company Evanix has brought the unconventional air rifle REX to the market. We rank this model among modern guns not only thanks to its unique design. Its characteristic features are the accurate range and reliability of the gun.
Thanks to the pistol grip you will quickly see how practical it is. Reloading will be easy for you. The loading technique is similar to old Winchesters. To reload, it is necessary to fold down the trigger guard and pull it to its maximum position. To return the trigger guard back, a safety catch is placed on the gun. The trigger is made of metal and with an adjustable pull weight it guarantees better accuracy.
To achieve even higher safety, the manufacturers have also added a manual safety. The marking is simple: F - fire and S - safe. The air rifle Evanix Rex 5.5 mm is designed for shooting at longer distances, so you should consider purchasing a riflescope, which can be mounted on the 22 mm Weaver rail (length 185 mm). The rifle belongs among single-shot guns, the pellet is inserted directly into the designated groove. You can use the full range of pellets, both pointed and flat-headed.
The stock of the rifle ends in a large air bottle, which is finished with a plastic butt pad. The air cylinder is filled using a quickfill adapter. The quickfill adapter is suitable for a bottle with a hose or a hand pump. Another advantage is the manometer, which informs you about the usable pressure (in BAR units) and the screw for emptying the cylinder. An advantage is also the sufficient barrel length, which reaches 500 mm and serves as the forearm of the gun. The barrel is already shrouded, and therefore it is no longer possible to screw on a sound moderator.
Practical experience: This gun is originally manufactured for much higher power levels and is one of the most accurate high‑power air rifles. We can really confirm this. During testing we achieved high accuracy with the rifle and minimal group sizes. The rifle weighs only 2500 g, so it is definitely not heavy to carry. A major advantage is the large cylinder, which at 16 J is sufficient for a large number of shots. It is a pity that the manufacturer did not place a rail under the barrel for attaching a bipod.
