The development of PCP air rifles is progressing in leaps and bounds and the Korean manufacturer Evanix definitely does not want to fall even a step behind. On the contrary, they constantly look for new ways to improve already perfect models. Proof of this is the second generation of the extremely successful bullpup Max Air.
Evanix Max Air II is one of the fastest and most reliable semi-automatic air rifles on the market. It is an ideal choice for those who are tired of constant reloading. You can shoot as fast as you are able to pull the trigger. It should be added that without any jamming. It’s simple: before inserting the magazine, just cock the charging lever, insert the magazine and return the lever. After that you only need to pull the trigger.
The Air Max model uses new magazines that were developed specifically for Semi-auto models. You will find two of them in the package, each with a capacity of 9 shots. The manual safety is located above the trigger.
High-quality workmanship is a matter of course for Evanix products. The rifle feels really robust and all main parts are made of metal. The beautiful wooden stock is complemented by an ergonomically shaped pistol grip and a rubber butt pad for recoil absorption. A polymer cheekpiece is also included. Max Air has no iron sights, so a 22mm Weaver rail is used for mounting optics. You will find a second rail on the fore-end, for example for attaching a bipod.
The air cylinder has a volume of 280 ccm with a maximum working pressure of 250 bar. It is filled using the supplied Evanix filling probe. The barrel is shrouded, which makes the rifle quieter, but you can still purchase a sound moderator and screw it onto the 1/2" thread.
