The development of PCP air rifles is progressing in leaps and bounds and the Korean manufacturer Evanix definitely does not want to be left behind. On the contrary, they are constantly looking for new ways to improve their already perfect models. Proof of this is the second generation of the highly successful bullpup Max Air.
Evanix Max Air II is one of the fastest and most reliable semi-automatic air rifles on the market. It is an ideal choice for those who are tired of constant reloading. You can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. It should be added that this is without any jamming. It’s simple: before inserting the magazine, just cock the charging lever, insert the magazine and return the lever. Then you only need to pull the trigger.
The Air Max model uses new magazines that were developed specifically for Semi-auto models. You will find two of them in the package, each with a capacity of 10 shots. The manual safety is located above the trigger.
High-quality workmanship is a matter of course for Evanix products. The rifle feels really solid and all main parts are made of metal. The beautiful wooden stock is complemented by an ergonomically shaped pistol grip and a rubber buttpad for recoil absorption. There is also a polymer cheekpiece. The Max Air does not have open sights, so a 22 mm Weaver rail is used for mounting optics. A second rail is located on the forearm and can be used, for example, to attach a bipod.
The air cylinder has a volume of 280 ccm with a maximum working pressure of 250 bar. It is filled using the supplied Evanix filling probe. The barrel is shrouded, which makes the rifle quieter, but you can still purchase a sound moderator and screw it onto the 1/2" thread.
