The Epic engineers are now coming with something a bit more classic – the ONE Walnut range with an elegantly shaped walnut stock.
Introducing EPIC ONE – the new icon from the world-famous company EPIC AIRGUNS based in the Czech Republic. The EPIC team has capitalised on all the experience gained from the production of the successful TWO model and transformed it into its compact bullpup successor. The high manufacturing quality is evident from every angle – for example, the main monoblock of the air rifle is made from a single piece of metal on a 5-axis CNC machine.
This bullpup boasts a new adjustable HIGH-POWER balanced valve that guarantees maximum power at minimum hammer spring tension, making the cocking lever easier to operate. At the same time, it reduces air waste and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer preload can be adjusted externally using a screw located above the butt pad.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with the standard 1/8” diameter compatible with a standard quick coupler. The air rifle is equipped with 2 gauges – one indicates the current pressure in the cylinder, the other shows the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator, which can be set with the included tool in the range from 50 to 190 bar (always follow the instructions in the manual).
To achieve an even more consistent muzzle velocity, the regulator is complemented by a large power plenum (63cc for the version with 420mm barrel and 95cc for the 550mm and 700mm barrels).
EPIC ONE air rifles are fitted with an unchoked CZUB barrel (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod) with 12 grooves and a 17.7” twist rate. The barrel end is equipped with a 1/2UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator. The carbon shroud serves to stiffen the barrel and at the same time allows barrel pre-tensioning (harmonic tuning).
Air rifles with 420mm and 550mm barrel length are additionally equipped with an integrated K-Baffle type sound moderator, also ending with a 1/2UNF thread.
The version with a 700mm barrel, after unscrewing the segment with the 1/2UNF thread and revealing the M27x1 thread, is compatible with the EPIC AIRGUNS sound moderator or with the muzzle brake.
Thanks to the barrel kit you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The set includes everything you need (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, 1/2UNF moderator adapter, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port, and loading probe).
To achieve the best results with heavy pellets and slugs, there is also a barrel kit available with an unchoked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel (6 grooves with a 17.7 twist rate).
The ONE series is equipped with a new pre-tensioned magazine with a magnetically closed cover. To load it, simply rotate the inner part and insert the first round, which locks the rotary system. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the magazine does not disrupt the overall appearance of the air rifle and does not interfere with handling. In addition, it can hold projectiles up to 14mm long.
Thanks to the clever bullpup layout, the ONE model achieves exceptionally compact dimensions while the air rifle remains perfectly balanced. For proper shouldering there is a rubberised cheekpiece, which can be freely adjusted along the 11mm dovetail rail running along the entire main block of the air rifle. The raised Picatinny rail canted up to 30 MOA is also adjustable, making it easier to set up the scope for shooting at the longest distances.
Instead of an adjustable aluminium butt pad, the Walnut range boasts a walnut stock made by the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, finished down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, making each air rifle a kind of one-off. If you already own the standard EPIC ONE version, you can buy the wooden stock separately here.
You can also purchase the Top Rail EPIC ONE – a tuning Picatinny rail with a number of M-LOK slots on the sides, or an Arca-Swiss mounting platform for versions with a 580cc and 300cc carbon bottle.
To mount additional accessories, you can use two short Anschütz UIT rails on the sides of the barrel.
The trigger mechanism has been fine-tuned to the smallest detail. Using several screws, you can adjust the trigger pull weight, the travel of the first and second stage, as well as the height and rotation of the trigger blade. The reliable lever safety is located right in front of the trigger, so you do not have to take your eyes off the target when disengaging the safety. The easily reversible cocking lever with an extremely smooth action is already standard on EPIC air rifles.
EPIC ONE Walnut is available in three configuration variants:
