The Epic designers are now coming with something a bit more classic – the ONE Walnut series with an elegantly shaped walnut stock.
Introducing EPIC ONE – a new icon from the world-famous company EPIC AIRGUNS based in the Czech Republic. The EPIC team has capitalised on all the experience gained from the production of the successful TWO model and transformed it into its compact bullpup successor. High-quality workmanship is evident from every angle – for example, the main monoblock of the air rifle is made from a single piece of metal on a 5-axis CNC machine.
This bullpup boasts a new adjustable HIGH-POWER balanced valve, which ensures maximum power with minimal hammer spring tension, making it easier to cock the side lever. At the same time, it reduces air wastage and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer pre-tension can be adjusted externally using a screw located above the buttpad.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with a standard 1/8” diameter compatible with a standard quick coupler. The air rifle is equipped with 2 gauges – one to indicate the current pressure in the cylinder, the other for the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator, which can be set with the included key in the range from 50 to 190 bar (always follow the instructions in the manual).
To achieve even more consistent muzzle velocity, the regulator is complemented by a large power plenum (63cc for the 420mm barrel version and 95cc for the 550mm and 700mm barrels).
EPIC ONE air rifles are fitted with a non-choked CZUB barrel (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod) with 12 grooves and a 17.7” twist rate. The muzzle end of the barrel is equipped with a 1/2UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator. The carbon shroud serves to stiffen the barrel and also allows barrel pre-tension (harmonic tuning).
Air rifles with 420mm and 550mm barrel length are additionally equipped with an integrated K-Baffle type sound moderator, also ending in a 1/2UNF thread.
The version with a 700mm barrel, after unscrewing the segment with the 1/2UNF thread and exposing the M27x1 thread, is compatible with the EPIC AIRGUNS sound moderator or with a muzzle brake.
Thanks to the barrel kit you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The set contains everything you need (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, 1/2UNF moderator adapter, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port and probe).
For the very best results with heavy pellets and slugs, a barrel kit with a non-choked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel is also available (6 grooves with 17.7 twist rate).
The ONE series is equipped with a new pre-tensioned magazine with a magnetically locking cover. To load it, simply rotate the inner part and insert the first round, which locks the rotary mechanism. Thanks to its compact size, the magazine does not disturb the overall appearance of the rifle and does not get in the way when handling it. In addition, it holds projectiles up to 14mm long.
Thanks to the smart bullpup design, the ONE model is extremely compact while the air rifle remains perfectly balanced. A rubberised cheek piece, which can be freely moved along the 11mm dovetail rail running along the entire main block of the rifle, ensures correct shouldering. The raised Picatinny rail with up to 30 MOA incline is also movable, making it easier to zero your scope for shooting at the longest distances.
Instead of an adjustable aluminium buttpad, the Walnut series boasts a walnut stock, manufactured by the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, finished down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, making each rifle essentially one of a kind. If you already own the standard EPIC ONE version, you can purchase the wooden stock separately here.
You can also purchase the Top Rail EPIC ONE – a tuning Picatinny rail with a series of M-LOK slots on the sides, or an Arca-Swiss mounting platform for the versions with a 580cc and 300cc carbon bottle.
To attach additional accessories, you can use two short Anschütz UIT rails on the sides of the barrel.
Trigger mechanism has been fine-tuned in every detail. Using several screws, you can adjust the trigger pull weight, the travel of the first and second stages and the height and angle of the trigger blade. The reliable lever safety is located right in front of the trigger, so you do not have to take your eyes off the target to disengage it. The easily reversible side lever with an extremely smooth action is already a standard feature on EPIC air rifles.
EPIC ONE Walnut is available in three configuration variants:
