The Epic engineers are now coming with something a bit more classic – the ONE Walnut series with an elegantly shaped walnut stock.
Introducing EPIC ONE – a new icon of the world‑famous company EPIC AIRGUNS based in the Czech Republic. The EPIC team has capitalised on all the experience gained from producing the successful TWO model and turned it into its compact bullpup successor. The high manufacturing quality is visible from every angle – for example, the main monoblock of the air rifle is made from a single piece of metal on a 5‑axis CNC machine.
This bullpup boasts a new adjustable HIGH-POWER balanced valve which ensures maximum power with minimal hammer spring tension, making the cocking lever easier to pull. At the same time it reduces air waste and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer preload can be adjusted from the outside via a screw located above the buttpad.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with a standard 1/8" diameter compatible with standard quick couplers. The air rifle is equipped with 2 pressure gauges – one indicates the current pressure in the cylinder, the other shows the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator, which can be set with the included tool in the range from 50 to 190 bar (always follow the instructions in the manual).
To achieve even more consistent muzzle velocity, the regulator is complemented by a large power plenum (63cc for the version with 420mm barrel and 95cc for 550mm and 700mm barrels).
EPIC ONE air rifles are fitted with an unchoked CZUB barrel (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod) with 12 grooves and a 17.7" twist rate. The barrel end is equipped with a 1/2UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator. The carbon shroud serves to stiffen the barrel and also allows barrel pre‑tensioning (harmonic tuning).
Air rifles with 420mm and 550mm barrel length are additionally fitted with an integrated K‑Baffle type sound moderator, also finished with a 1/2UNF thread.
On the version with 700mm barrel, after unscrewing the segment with the 1/2UNF thread and exposing the M27x1 thread, it becomes compatible with the EPIC AIRGUNS sound moderator or with a muzzle brake.
Thanks to the barrel kit you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The set includes everything you need (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, 1/2UNF moderator adapter, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port and probe).
To achieve the best results with heavy pellets and slugs, there is also a barrel kit available with an unchoked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel (6 grooves with 17.7" twist).
The ONE series is equipped with a new pre‑tensioned magazine with a magnetically closed cover. To load it, simply rotate the inner part and insert the first round, which locks the rotating mechanism. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the magazine does not disturb the overall appearance of the air rifle and does not get in the way when handling the gun. In addition, it can hold projectiles up to 14mm long.
Thanks to the clever bullpup layout, the ONE model has exceptionally compact dimensions while the air rifle remains perfectly balanced. A rubberised cheekpiece, which can be freely moved along the 11mm dovetail running across the entire main block of the air rifle, is used for proper shouldering. The raised Picatinny rail with up to 30 MOA incline is also adjustable, making it easier to zero the scope for the longest shooting distances.
Instead of an adjustable aluminium buttpad, the Walnut series boasts a walnut stock manufactured by the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, finished down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, making each air rifle unique in its own way. If you already own the standard EPIC ONE version, you can also purchase the wooden stock separately here.
You can also purchase the Top Rail EPIC ONE – a tuning Picatinny rail with M‑LOK slots on the sides, or an Arca‑Swiss mounting platform for versions with a 580cc and 300cc carbon bottle.
To mount additional accessories you can use two short Anschütz UIT rails on the sides of the barrel.
Trigger mechanism has been fine‑tuned down to the smallest detail. With several screws you can adjust the trigger pull weight, the travel of the first and second stage, as well as the height and rotation of the trigger shoe. The reliable lever safety is located directly in front of the trigger, so you do not have to divert your attention from the target when taking the rifle off safe. The easily reversible cocking lever with an extremely smooth action is already a matter of course on EPIC air rifles.
