The FX Panthera air rifle is in every respect designed for competition shooting. Its main advantage is therefore extreme accuracy thanks to the top‑class barrel of the FX Superior STX (Smooth Twist X) series – whose rifling is pressed in from the outside. The inner surface of the barrel is therefore smooth without any imperfections, which reduces air resistance and projectile friction when firing. At the end of the barrel there is a standard 1/2UNF thread for the installation of a moderator.
The FX Panthera is manufactured in versions with barrel lengths of 500, 600 and 700mm in calibres 4.5mm, 5.5mm, 6.35mm and 7.62mm.
The air rifle is also equipped with the new Dynamic Block breech designed for long‑range shooting with slugs. The breech uses a powerful short‑impulse valve that ensures precise flow of a large volume of air. Compared to other breeches, Dynamic Block allows the use of bullets up to 13mm in length – the magazine with a deeper lid is adapted to this. The side cocking lever can be moved to the left side of the air rifle.
The revolutionary Dynamic Plenum is the first of its kind – it surrounds the barrel and at the same time reinforces it. The version with a 700mm barrel is equipped with a 156ccm plenum.
The fore‑end is fitted with an Arca rail complemented by M-LOK sections on the sides and underneath, which can be used to attach weights, a bipod or a laser sight. There is also, of course, a sliding buttpad and a height‑adjustable ambidextrous cheekpiece.
The stock also includes a carbon-fibre cylinder with a volume of 300ccm, which can be filled using a Foster quick coupler to a maximum pressure of 250 bar.
Note: The muzzle energy values in the air rifle specifications are achieved under ideal conditions and using a tungsten hammer pin. Values with the standard version of the air rifle may therefore differ.
