The company owner and designer Fredrik Axelsson spent two years developing and testing the bolt mechanism and pressure valve before even sending the rifle into production. The result is exceptionally smooth and fluid cocking, which makes shooting an even greater pleasure. FX air rifles are known worldwide for their innovative design, 100% reliability, and breathtaking accuracy.
FX PCP rifles are equipped with barrels marked Smooth Twist, which means that 90% of the barrel is smooth and there is a gentle rifling twist at the end. The pellet first fully accelerates in the barrel and only then is given its spin by the rifling. The manufacturer offers different types of rifling, which encourages experimentation with various types of ammunition. Smooth Twist barrels are currently among the most accurate and most respected on the market.
The trigger is fully adjustable in the range of 400 - 700 g and is one of the best we have been able to try so far. The carbon bottle holds exactly 400 cm3 of air. If you fill the air rifle to 220 Bar, you get approximately 100 full-power shots down to the limit of 125 BAR, where the pressure regulator is set.
The well-balanced walnut Thumbhole stock weighs 3.4 kg. There is of course also a manual safety, located under the cocking lever on the right-hand side. An 11 mm dovetail is provided for mounting a riflescope.
