FX Panthera MkII air rifle is in every respect designed for competitive shooting and precision shooting with pellets and slugs at long distances. It follows on from the original FX Panthera model and retains the proven Dynamic Block platform, the Dynamic Plenum system and the FX Superior STX barrel series, but adds a more rigid construction, a redesigned fore-end with an integrated 30MOA Picatinny rail, an AMP MKII regulator and a new trigger mechanism Quick Set Trigger.

Its main advantage is extreme accuracy thanks to the top-class FX Superior STX barrel series, i.e. Smooth Twist X, whose rifling is pressed from the outside. The inner surface of the barrel is therefore smooth without any imperfections and reduces air resistance and projectile friction when firing. At the end of the barrel there is a standard 1/2UNF thread for installing a moderator.
The FX Panthera MkII air rifle is produced in several versions according to barrel length – 500 mm, 600 mm and 700 mm and in calibres 4,5 mm, 5,5 mm, 6,35 mm a 7,62 mm.
Dynamic Block for shooting slugs
Furthermore, the air rifle is equipped with a Dynamic Block breech designed for shooting slugs at long range. The breech uses a high-flow short-impulse valve that ensures precise metering of a large volume of air. Compared to other breeches, Dynamic Block allows the use of up to 13mm long pellets or slugs – the magazine with a deeper lid is also adapted to this.
The air rifle uses a plenum placed around the barrel, which forms a reservoir of regulated air directly in front of the valve. Its volume varies according to the barrel length – the version with a 500mm barrel uses a plenum with a volume of 62 cc, while versions with 600 mm and 700 mm barrels have a plenum with a volume of 163 cc. The result is a fast response and sufficient air for heavier projectiles intended for precision shooting at longer distances.
Rigid fore-end and integrated mounting interface
One of the main changes of the MkII version is the new aluminium fore-end, which reinforces the whole assembly and reduces unwanted flex when using a bipod, tripod or other support. The upper part of the fore-end is formed by an integrated 30MOA Picatinny rail, which provides sufficient space for mounting a riflescope and at the same time helps when shooting at longer distances.
The lower part of the fore-end uses an Arca-Swiss rail for attaching a bipod or tripod. Side M-LOK slots allow the installation of additional accessories and the internal space of the fore-end can be used to add weights and fine-tune the balance of the whole setup. There is also a Barricade Stop element for shooting when braced against an obstacle and a QD sling swivel mount.

Quick Set Trigger and fine tuning
A new feature of the FX Panthera MkII model is the Quick Set Trigger mechanism with three preset profiles for different shooting disciplines. The trigger can be adapted for dynamic PRS-style shooting, hunting use or an ultra-light pull for benchrest. The settings can be changed from the outside without the need to remove the trigger guard.
Precise air metering is ensured by the AMP MKII regulator with its own gauge. Power tuning is complemented by the Quick Tune system with macro and micro adjustment of the hammer spring preload, thanks to which the air rifle can be adapted to a specific shooting setup and chosen ammunition.
Ergonomics and controls
Reloading is handled by a side biathlon-style lever with smooth operation, which can be set up on the left or right side. The air rifle thus suits both right-handed and left-handed shooters. The MkII design also brings more space around the grip, a higher cheekpiece and an adjustable buttpad, so the rifle can be better adapted to the shooter and the chosen shooting position.
The chassis includes an FX UG1 grip in AR-15 standard. This makes it possible, if necessary, to replace it with another compatible AR-15 grip according to the shooter’s preferences. The air rifle is fitted with a carbon 300cc bottle and is filled via a quick coupler with 1/8" BSP thread.
Practical polymer case
The FX Panthera MkII is supplied in a polymer case lined with foam. The internal cut-outs are designed so that it is possible to store the air rifle with a mounted riflescope and bipod. This is particularly practical for shooters who want to have the setup ready for transport without constantly having to remove accessories or having to buy another case.
