The PCP air rifle FX Dynamic MkII is the second generation of the hunting-oriented model from Swedish manufacturer FX Airguns. It shares the proven Dynamic Block platform with the Panthera target shooting series, but stands out primarily for its unique stock design, formed by the carbon fibre bottle itself. The new MkII generation brings a more rigid construction, a redesigned forend, a one-piece 30MOA Picatinny rail, an improved barrel mounting system and the new Quick Set Trigger mechanism.

Precision FX Superior STX barrel
Its main advantage is exceptional accuracy thanks to the premium barrel from the FX Superior STX series, also known as Smooth Twist X, whose rifling is pressed in from the outside. The internal barrel surface is therefore smooth and free from imperfections, reducing air resistance and projectile friction when firing. The muzzle features a standard 1/2 UNF thread for fitting a moderator.
The FX Dynamic MkII air rifle is available in three versions, which differ not only in barrel length but also in liner type and plenum volume:
The Superior STX liner is primarily optimised for conventional pellets and lighter slugs.
The Superior Heavy STX liner uses a different rifling twist rate to better stabilise heavier projectiles, particularly slugs, but also heavier pellets.
The second generation also brings a reinforced barrel-to-receiver connection, using tighter manufacturing tolerances and more durable materials.

Dynamic Block for shooting slugs
The air rifle is equipped with a Dynamic Block action designed for shooting slugs at long range. The action uses a high-flow, short-impulse valve that precisely meters a large volume of air. Compared with other actions, the Dynamic Block allows the use of pellets or slugs up to 13mm long – the magazine is also adapted for this with a deeper lid.
The air rifle uses a Power Plenum positioned around the barrel, which provides a reserve of regulated air directly ahead of the valve. The result is a fast response and ample air for heavier projectiles.
Redesigned construction
One of the main changes in the MkII version is the new aluminium forend, which stiffens the entire assembly and reduces unwanted flex when using a bipod, tripod or other support. The top of the main block features a one-piece Picatinny rail, providing ample space for mounting a riflescope, while its inclination of 30MOA allows the riflescope to be adjusted for truly long-range shooting.

The underside of the forend features an Arca-Swiss rail for attaching a bipod or tripod. Side M-LOK slots allow additional accessories to be mounted, and the space inside the forend can accommodate weights to fine-tune the balance of the entire setup. It also includes a Barricade Stop for shooting supported against a barrier and a QD sling mounting point.
Quick Set Trigger and precise tuning
A new feature of the FX Dynamic MkII is the Quick Set Trigger mechanism with three preset profiles for different shooting disciplines. The trigger can be configured for dynamic shooting in PRS style, hunting use or an exceptionally light action for benchrest. Settings can be changed externally without removing the trigger guard.
Precise air metering is handled by the AMP MKII regulator with its own pressure gauge. Power tuning is complemented by the Quick Tune system with macro and micro hammer spring preload adjustment, allowing the air rifle to be tailored to a specific shooting setup and the chosen ammunition.

Ergonomics and operation
Reloading is handled by a smooth-operating biathlon-style side lever, which can be switched to the left or right side. This makes the air rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters.
The chassis includes an FX UG1 grip built to the AR-15 standard. This allows it to be replaced, if required, with another compatible AR-15 grip to suit the shooter's preferences.
The most striking difference from the Panthera target shooting version is the 480 cm³ carbon fibre bottle, which screws directly into the rear of the main block and also forms the stock itself. The rear of the bottle is fitted with a height-adjustable rubber butt pad.
The maximum fill pressure is 250 bar, and the air rifle is filled via a quick connector on the underside, ahead of the trigger guard. Two separate pressure gauges allow you to monitor the current pressure in the carbon fibre bottle and the regulator output pressure.
