Work Sharp E2Plus-I is an electric sharpener that can sharpen all your kitchen knives. You don't need any knife sharpening experience to sharpen. On the contrary. The sharpener is designed for the layman. The E2Plus-I can handle not only smooth knives but also serrated blades. You can sharpen cleavers, filleting knives and even scissors. Compared to the E2-I, it can also handle pocket knives.
It has 3 sharpening zones. Two for the left and right edge of the blade and a third for finishing the blade in the middle of the sharpener. Thanks to the guide system, you don't need any experience in knife sharpening. Just turn the sharpener on and run the left and right edge of the blade alternately through the sharpener. Just clamp the knife on the guide rest. This allows you to sharpen it at the correct angle. To finish sharpening kitchen knives, you need to pass the knife through the sharpening part in the middle of the sharpener. For pocket knives, the process is the same, you just need to replace the top of the sharpener.
The grinder has 2 modes. Shape and Sharp. Shape is for sharpening already very dull knives. So you could say that it gives the knife a "shape". The sharp program, on the other hand, gives the knife its edge. To switch between the programs, simply press the appropriate button.
