Video review: Snowpeak AP900 / AP1000 Mercury - Cheap, compact, powerful

The Chinese company Snowpeak Airguns (SPA) is a true champion in the field of low-budget air rifles. And this is proven by the new series of PCP air rifles entitled Mercury.

The Mercury PCP air rifles are characterized by excellent workmanship, a high degree of modularity, and, given the features they offer, an unrivalled purchase price. Among the main advantages over the competition is the integrated pressure regulator, which allows the air rifle to achieve consistent muzzle velocity. Other features worth mentioning include the supplied noise moderator with a 1/2UNF thread, a rubberized AR-15-style grip, and a folding stock that shortens the overall profile of the rifle by 25 cm. The rifled barrel is enclosed in a stylish shroud with a carbon fiber-imitation finish, and a 10-round magazine or the included single-shot adapter can be used for firing. The Mercury model is produced in 4 design versions:

  • AP900 - 310mm barrel, aluminium 118cc cartridge, and M-LOK forearm.
  • AP1000 - 500mm barrel, aluminium 250cc cartridge, and M-LOK forearm.
  • AP900 B - 310mm barrel, carbon 350cc bottle, and Picatinny forearm.
  • AP1000 B - 500mm barrel, carbon 500cc bottle, and Picatinny forearm.

Each variant offers 3 calibers - 4.5 mm (.177), 5.5 mm (.22), and 6.35 mm (.25).
