Vector Optics Tauron 5-25x56 HD MIL FFP PRS is a modern riflescope for precise long-range shooting with high magnification and a large objective lens. It offers a first focal plane reticle and exposed turrets with milliradian adjustment steps for precise corrections.
Variable magnification 5–25× covers both medium and long distances, while the 56 mm objective lens provides enough light even at higher magnification, making work easier in poor light conditions. The optical system uses LaREE HD lenses, which reduce chromatic aberration and improve sharpness and contrast across the entire field of view. The FMC multi-layer anti-reflective coatings on the lenses increase light transmission and contribute to a clear image with well-defined target contours.
The riflescope uses the VTA-8 MIL reticle designed for precise aiming and corrections in milliradians. The reticle is located in the first focal plane, so its scale changes with magnification – this allows reliable ranging and holdovers without recalculation at different magnifications. The reticle is illuminated, the intensity can be set in 6 levels and it is powered by a single CR2032 battery (not included).
The exposed adjustment turrets are graduated in milliradians, 1 click = 1/10 MIL, which is suitable for direct use with the reticle. The elevation turret is equipped with a Zero Stop function (easy return to a pre-set zero), while the windage turret features a Turret Lock function (it must be lifted before turning). Parallax is adjustable from 10 yards to infinity and, of course, there is dioptre adjustment of -3+2D.
The Tauron model is built on a one-piece 34mm tube made from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with IP67 protection rating. The interior is nitrogen-filled to minimise fogging during changes in temperature and humidity. This model can withstand 1000 G (unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of firearms in .300, .308 and .338 calibres.
