Vector Optics Tauron 5-25x56 HD MIL FFP PRS is a modern riflescope for precision shooting at longer distances, featuring high magnification and a large objective lens. It offers a first focal plane reticle and exposed turrets with milliradian clicks for precise corrections.
Optical system
Variable magnification 5–25× covers medium and long ranges, while the 56 mm objective lens provides sufficient light even at higher magnification, making work in poor light conditions easier. The optical system uses LaREE HD lenses, which reduce chromatic aberration and improve sharpness and contrast across the entire field of view. Fully multi-coated FMC lenses increase light transmission and contribute to a clear image with well-defined target contours.
Reticle
The riflescope uses the VTA-8 MIL reticle designed for precise aiming and corrections in milliradians. The reticle is placed in the first focal plane, so its scale changes with magnification – this allows reliable ranging and holdovers without recalculation at different magnifications. The reticle is illuminated, with 6 brightness levels, and is powered by a single CR2032 battery (not included).
Adjustment and parallax
The exposed adjustment turrets are graduated in milliradians, 1 click = 1/10 MIL, which is suitable for direct use with the reticle. The elevation turret is equipped with a Zero Stop function (easy return to a pre-set zero), while the windage turret features a Turret Lock function (it must be pulled up before turning). Parallax is adjustable from 10 yards to infinity, and diopter adjustment of -3+2D is standard.
Construction and durability
The Tauron model is built on a one-piece 34 mm tube made from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with an IP67 protection rating. The interior is nitrogen-filled to reduce fogging when temperature and humidity change. This model can withstand 1000 G (unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of firearms chambered in .300, .308 and .338 calibres.
