After about a hundred shots, the safety apparently came off and the gun flew into three pieces and the recoil spring was lost. Of course, the warranty was not honored. I was not even offered a paid repair. So I have a pile of scrap at home for 3,800czk. There is no mention of disassembling and reassembling the gun in the instructions. So our cooperation with Balistas ended before it could begin.

Quite accurate and strong pistol, which looks a bit plastic thanks to not very good enamel coating, but it is made of metal except for the stock. It has blowback, after firing the slide stays back, but the slide travel is about half of the original. I'd say it shoots better than it looks.

The gun surprised me quite a bit with its performance and accuracy. The pistol lasts for about 4 full magazines, the first two of which have decent power (max is 3 Joules). The slide is light, which is probably why it doesn't take much power from the bomber. The magazine doesn't fill with BBs very well, but at least it has a catch for the compression spring. The magazine release is just like the original. The metal trigger doesn't go very smoothly and has resistance and a long travel, but the shooting is pretty accurate (at 5m) and also noisy at first. The sights are solid, all-black. The slide is tightened with a plastic spinner which is too small to tighten quickly with fingertips, hopefully it will hold, but an Allen would be better.

After unpacking it was not possible to release the safety, only with great force did it tell. The finish gives the impression of a child's gun. The instructions are traditionally poor. It differs from the real P38 by a shorter bolt travel, the safety does not work as a decock. The barrel can be removed, but not the whole bolt.
