Review:
Air Rifle BSA GRT Comet Evo Silentium 4.5mm

Comet Evo Silentium is an affordable break-barrel air rifle with a gas piston from the traditional company Birmingham Small Arms. The rifle combines sufficient power, quality workmanship and many years of experience into a light yet powerful gun made from modern materials. The Silentium version is equipped with a moderator that reduces the noise produced when firing.

I don't recommend this rifle for anyone looking for quiet shooting. It's also not recommended for anyone looking to shoot with the stock open sights.

It's very easy to use. Surprisingly, it doesn't shake at all. It just hangs in the air.

The sight is complete junk! It wobbles from side to side. And nothing is locked in place. You can just move it 1.5-2 mm to the side with your fingers. And it stays that way. This is completely unacceptable. The sharp plastic edges on the underside of the forend are very annoying and hurt your hand.
A suppressor doesn't muffle anything. It looks good and seems sturdy. But it's simply useless for sound. However, by increasing the mass of the barrel tip, it helps with accuracy.

- high performance 22J
- easy stretching (nitro piston)
- Static sights are better than those on the spring gun SPA LB600
- very quiet compared to the Hatsan Striker S1000
- small recoil

I shot with an air rifle as a boy and always enjoyed it – target shooting. So why not try it again. This air rifle caught my eye – power, caliber, gas piston – less recoil and the appearance of the air rifle. And finally, the price.

Light and easy to hold. So far I have only shot a few times, but it was very accurate. I just didn't expect the drawing to be so difficult, that surprised me. So far, I am very satisfied.

None.

I have had a few air rifles from Slavia, through Hamerli to Gamo… some so expensive, but this one is definitely the best. As a plus, I give the weight, it is very light… it is pleasant to cock, the silencer really mutes the noise. They hit the wood or catcher louder with the pellets. A small minus is that the safety is manual, i.e. you secure it yourself after cocking, I was used to automatic, but it's just a matter of habit (it also has its advantages)… in any case, out of five stars, I definitely give five.

In the given price range, it has good parameters and, after first experiences, adequate accuracy. I don't know if it's just my piece, but the mounting rail is minimally milled, so I had to modify the mounts to get them into the grooves.

accurate
light
good energy
less recoil when compared to spring piston

insufficiently milled 11mm rail
