Replica French Flintlock Rifle, France 1806

Decorative replica of the France 1806 flintlock rifle, based on French military weapons from the early 19th century. It is made without a bayonet and is intended for collecting and decorative purposes.

Replica design

The stock and fore-end are wooden, while the metal components are complemented by a brass finish.

The flintlock mechanism is movable and simulates the operation of a historical weapon: the hammer can be cocked and, when the trigger is pressed, it is released with a characteristic click.

Historical original

French flintlock rifles were among the basic armament of Napoleon's infantry at the beginning of the 19th century. During the Napoleonic Wars, Model 1777 weapons were used, later modified according to the An IX and An XIII patterns; they were widely issued among French units.
