Replica design

Historical original

George Washington was the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the American War of Independence from 1775–1783 and the first President of the United States from 1789–1797. Washington is associated with an English flintlock pistol made around 1752 by the gunsmith Gabbitas; it was a .71 calibre muzzle-loading pistol. The pistol was given to him by General Edward Braddock, and Washington valued it as a personal gift that accompanied him on several campaigns.
