Thanks to its high durability, weight of only 91 g including the battery, and exceptional performance, it will be appreciated not only by hikers. The maximum output of the lantern is 300 lm and the beam distance reaches 15 metres, which is sufficient for lighting up a tent or as a reading light.
The lantern is equipped with 16 white and 2 red LED diodes. The white diodes offer 4 different light modes with outputs of 300 lm (runtime 6 h), 130 lm (runtime 12 h), 40 lm (runtime 20 h) and 1 lm (runtime 200 h). The red LED diodes then provide 1.5 lm either as constant light (runtime 100 h) or flashing.
It is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-Pol battery with a capacity of 1600 mAh, which is charged via a micro USB connector. Under the Fenix logo on the front of the lantern you will find a control button with a battery status indicator. A long press switches the lantern on and off. A short press when it is on switches between modes. A double click in the on state switches the lantern to the red modes.
The lantern is made of durable polymer, allowing it to easily withstand a drop from a height of 1 metre, so you don’t have to worry about damage if it falls off a table. At the same time, it also boasts an IP66 rating, so it can cope even with heavy rain. It has a hanging loop and a strong magnet on the bottom side.
