Benchmade 940-2 Osborne is a popular knife for everyday carry (EDC), featuring a CPM-S30V powder steel blade and G10 composite handle scales. The most interesting thing about it, however, is that it was designed by Warren Osborne himself. Users appreciate its lightweight and functional construction and quality materials that make it exceptionally reliable.
The satin-finished blade has a length of 86 mm and is made of American stainless steel CPM-S30V hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC, which offers high sharpness, mechanical durability and copes well with the effects of corrosion. In addition, the high vanadium carbide content makes it highly resistant to impact and wear. A smooth edge with a length of 3 mm extends the entire length of the blade.
Thanks to the wide blade with a reverse tanto tip, the knife has ideal cutting and penetrating properties, making it a highly versatile tool for a wide range of activities.
The blade can be opened with one hand using the thumb stud. In the open position, the blade is secured by a double-sided axis lock.
Ergonomic handle consists of two G10 composite handle scales, on the surface of which there is a pass-through hole for a strap and a clip allowing the knife to be attached to a pocket or belt.
