The Benchmade 4300-1 CLA is a knife with automatic opening, which works on the principle of releasing the blade with a button.
The knife features a slim blade with a length of 86 mm and a thickness of 3 mm. The blade is manufactured using 154CM stainless steel hardened to a hardness of 58-61 HRC. This type of steel is of American origin and is valued worldwide for its high resistance to corrosion and wear, which is achieved by its high carbon content enriched with molybdenum. It is often referred to as an improved version of 440 C steel.
The blade surface has a matte satin finish, which hides greasy fingerprints and is easy to clean. When working with the knife, you'll definitely appreciate the highly versatile drop point blade type or the milled grooves on the blade's spine and handle, acting as a finger rest when making a precise cut.
The main advantage of the knife is the automatic opening system. Unlike models with assisted opening, here you only need to press a button to open it. In the open position, the blade is secured by the trusted axis lock.
To make working with the knife even more pleasant, it features ergonomic handle scales made of G10 composite, which is characterized by high mechanical and water resistance. The profiled shape combined with the finger cut-out and rough texture ensures a firm and reliable grip. Thanks to the hole at the end of the handle, a wrist loop can be attached.
