Treksport Ice grip M Traction Cleats (38-40)
Chain traction cleats for walking on icy terrain, packed snow and other slippery surfaces. The compact design takes up little space in your backpack, so you can pack them for every winter outing.
Use and Footwear Compatibility
Size M is designed for EU 38-40 footwear; also consider the shape of your boots when choosing a size. Fit the traction cleats over the toe, pull the flexible rear section over the heel and fasten the securing strap over the instep. They are not intended for mountaineering terrain and do not replace mountaineering crampons.
Construction and Specifications
The flexible section made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) retains its elasticity down to -40 °C. A hook-and-loop strap provides additional fastening. Stainless steel chains connect two painted steel horseshoe-shaped plates: the front plate has two moving sections that follow the flex of the boot and 9 spikes, while the rear plate has 4 spikes and helps during descents. This provides a total of 13 spikes measuring 15 mm in length. High-stress components are reinforced to withstand the conditions of demanding mountain terrain.
