Variable magnification rifle scopes
Hawke AIRMAX 30 Compact, 4–16X44 SF is made from a single piece of durable
aluminium and offers variable magnification of 4–16×. The riflescope has a
nitrogen-filled construction, MRAD adjustment and parallax correction. The
turrets are capped, so you do not have to worry about accidental changes to your
settings. The optical system is in the second focal plane and the etched glass
AMX IR reticle is illuminated.

The eyepiece has fast focus (Fast Focus) and the lenses are equipped with a sixteen-layer MC coating. The gas inside the system ensures that the lenses of the objective and eyepiece do not fog up. The riflescope is also waterproof and shockproof. Inside the AIRMAX models there is an etched reticle AMX IR. It is illuminated with red light, offering six adjustable intensity levels with off positions between them.
Horizontal and vertical adjustment is in milliradians – one click equals 1/10 MRAD. The adjustment turrets are capped, so the set values will not change without the user’s knowledge. Parallax adjustment is located on the left side of the riflescope, operated via a side turret; its range is 9 m to infinity. To maintain the set values, the system needs to be relatively stiff. For this reason, the manufacturer includes a large side wheel that you mount on the parallax turret to make handling easier. The illumination control is located in the same place.
The variable magnification range of 4–16x is particularly suitable for less powerful rifles – for example rimfire rifles or air rifles. The motto of the Airmax models is Specialist scopes designed by airgunners for airgunners! The riflescope belongs to the second focal plane.
