Decorative replica of a flintlock pistol French Cavalry, France 1806 based on military sidearms from the Napoleonic period.
Replica design
The grip is made of wood, while the remaining parts are metal, combining grey and brass elements.
The movable mechanism simulates loading and firing. It can be cocked; when the trigger is pressed, the mechanism clicks.
Historical model
The French cavalry pistol Pattern An XIII followed the earlier Pattern An IX and its design was also based on the naval pistol Pattern 1786. It was manufactured from 1806, and French cavalrymen commonly carried it in pairs in leather holsters. The historical weapon was a flintlock, single-shot, muzzle-loading pistol; it used a 17,1 mm caliber.
