It has a rubber-armoured aluminium body, which makes it very robust. The lenses are coated with MC layers that minimise unwanted reflections.
It weighs only 724 g, so you can comfortably take it almost anywhere. Carrying is made much easier thanks to the strap with lens caps, or the rigid case with its own strap.
The binocular has other advantages as well. At 1000 metres it has a field of view of 143 metres in width. The space inside the tubes is filled with nitrogen, which prevents the lenses from fogging up, even during sudden temperature changes. The 40 mm objective diameter provides solid light transmission, allowing you to see even at dusk. Delta Optical Discovery 8x40 also offers 8x magnification and dioptre adjustment of -4/+8 dioptres, so you don’t have to worry about failing to focus on your target because of your eyesight.
