The Hawke 1x25 sealed collimator from the Vantage series has a versatile use. It is ideal not only for pistols and air rifles, but thanks to its high durability it can also be used on sporting and hunting guns.
The advantage of a collimator is that, unlike a scope, you use both eyes when aiming, so you maintain maximum field of view and situational awareness. This is an invaluable feature when hunting and tactical shooting.
Tubus has a durable nitrogen-filled aluminum construction that protects the 25-layer Multi-Coated optics. It is recoil and fog resistant. The collimator is ready to use right out of the box, aided by the integrated 9-11mm rail mount. Installation is therefore very easy.
The red dot has a size of 3 MOA and can be adjusted in 11 levels of illumination. A killflash is also included to prevent optics glare.
- High durability
- 11 brightness levels

With a collimator, you know where you're aiming much better than you do with a
crosshair. A good alignment is a prerequisite to start with, which can be
achieved by supporting the stock with a stiff pad and shooting at a circular
target, preferably a shot trap. The collimator has two adjustment chambers,
which are covered by screw caps. The workmanship is precise. However, on one of
my two collimators (the other is on a 22mm rail), the screw for side adjustment
is fitted with a screw for elevation adjustment , so it has the direction of
rotation incorrectly marked. They got it wrong during assembly. The chimney caps
can supposedly be used as a screwdriver, which is also not the case, but
that's a detail as adjusting with a screwdriver is easier. The red dot is small
so it doesn't obscure the target and its brightness can be corrected by turning
the knob. This type can be mounted on an 11mm rail, so on most long air rifles
or pistols. If you take it off on another gun, you have to readjust. Using a
collimator on a collapsible pistol makes shooting much more accurate. Tru-glo
sights are very close to the eyes on pistols, so I can see them blurry.
