The binocular body is made of an aluminium alloy covered with a polymer housing. The polymer surface finish ensures a secure grip and at the same time protects the optics against impacts and scratches. The body is also waterproof and dustproof to IP67 rating, so it can easily handle rain, humidity, and use in dusty environments.
The interior of the body is filled with nitrogen, which effectively prevents internal optical elements from fogging during rapid temperature changes or high humidity. This way you keep a clear image even early in the morning, after rain, or in cold conditions. There is also a thread for tripod mounting, which you will appreciate during prolonged observation from one spot or when working at maximum magnification.
Paragon 10x42 HD uses an optical system with FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) anti-reflective coatings on the lenses, which improve light transmission and reduce glare. The result is a bright, high-contrast, and well-defined image even in poorer light conditions. The used roof prisms made of high-quality BaK-4 glass provide a sharp image right to the edge of the field of view and faithful rendering of details.
The tenfold 10× magnification is a versatile choice for hunting, hiking, and nature observation – you can bring distant objects closer without significantly compromising image stability in the hand. The 42 mm objective lenses represent an ideal compromise between brightness and compact dimensions, making them suitable for everyday carrying in a backpack or on a strap.
The manufacturer assumes that you will carry the binocular frequently and for long periods, so it allows for comfortable transport in a protective case, which protects the optics when carried in a backpack, bag, or car.
