It is designed to be worn over outer garments (e.g. a jacket), therefore it is very stiff and the inside features a highly grippy rubberised layer that prevents slipping.
The belt consists of two parts – the mentioned rough inner layer and an outer soft layer with MOLLE system, several loops with metal eyelets, and a massive Austrialpin(R) polymer buckle. Both parts are attached to each other along the entire length with hook-and-loop, so you can detach the outer layer with the MOLLE system and use it as a classic trouser belt.
