New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers The riflescope Vector Optics Continental 2-12x44 RAR offers variable magnification of 2-12x, a 44 mm objective lens and a first focal plane (FFP) reticle with miliradian graduations. The optical system is made of LaREE HD lenses with VePRO FMC anti-reflective coating. The aluminium IP67 construction withstands recoil of 1000 G, making it suitable for calibres up to the equivalent of .300, .308 and .338.
The riflescope provides variable magnification of 2-12x, which in combination with the 44 mm objective lens covers universal use from short to medium distances. The optical system uses special LaREE HD lenses which, together with the VePRO Fully Multi-coated coating, ensure high light transmission of 90% and a clear, bright image across the entire magnification range.
The etched VET-RAR 2 reticle is located in the first focal plane (FFP), so its size changes depending on the magnification. Thanks to this, the measuring elements remain in the correct scale across the entire magnification range and the reticle can be used for holdovers and calculations at any magnification setting. The reticle illumination has 11 levels and features Off positions between each step. It is powered by a CR2032 battery (not included).
The riflescope uses exposed turrets with a click value of 1/10 MIL. The elevation turret is equipped with a Zero Stop function, which allows a reliable return of the elevation adjustment to a pre-set zero. Thanks to the Turret Lock function, the turrets can be locked to prevent accidental adjustment when handling the firearm or during transport. Parallax adjustment ranges from 10 yards to infinity. Dioptre adjustment in the range of -2 to +2 allows the eyepiece to be adapted to the shooter’s eye without the need for glasses.
The IP67-rated riflescope body is made of 6061-T6 aluminium alloy and the 34 mm tube is nitrogen-filled, which ensures resistance to fogging during rapid temperature changes. The 1000 G resistance means that the riflescope is designed for recoil equivalent to .300, .308 and .338 calibres, making it suitable even for more powerful rifles. This is also where the long eye relief of 100 mm proves its worth, providing sufficient distance between the eye and the eyepiece.
