Good device with a few minor weaknesses

The Vector Owlset RS08 performs well overall, but some details need improvement. The display is too bright in the dark even at the lowest setting and causes an uncomfortable glare – I had to add some tint film to fix this.
There is a quiet click during automatic calibration (if you want complete silence, use manual mode). The rattling when you shake it while switched off is normal (shutter).
It's a shame the device doesn't fit directly onto Picatinny rails. However, an adapter is included, and suitable quick-release adapters are available at fairly low prices.

Overall a good device, but the manufacturer should improve the display dimming.
