Traditional British manufacturer Daystate has introduced a novelty that breaks the boundaries of previously established standards in the world of airguns. The designers have capitalized on nearly two decades of electronics experience to create a futuristic "Smart" airgun that uses an embedded electronic system with Advanced Velocity Technology (AVT).
This system allows you to select preset power levels for different calibers and ammunition types via a touchscreen display on the left side of the stock. Thanks to the integrated chronograph, you can monitor the results of your shooting in real time, and the system can even correct any variations in performance to maintain the best possible consistency. There's also Bluetooth for connecting to other devices.
Of course, shooters can adjust the pressure in the Huma-Air regulator. A newly designed fast flow valve system improves efficiency and the total number of shots you can get out of the 480cc detachable carbon bottle. The working pressure is 250 bar.
The replaceable barrel is covered by a stylish carbon fibre shroud and features a standard 1/2 UNF thread for an external sound moderator. The front of the shroud also houses the built-in chronograph.
The metal magazine is outfitted with a magnet and if you have two, you can connect them to double the number of shots. The magazines can be inserted from both the left and right side of the gun. The same goes for the side lever, which can be swapped to the other side in a matter of moments. The lever has a very smooth action and is secured by a magnet in the open position, so you don't have to worry about spontaneous movement. The ambidextrous design is complemented by an AR-15-style manual safety which also acts as a switch for the electronic system.
The stock with adjustable cheekpiece and buttpad is fitted with a Picatinny rail on the underside. Additional rails of the same standard can be found under the air bottle and on the sides of the barrel. An 11 mm rail extends across the entire top of the frame, on which a mounting platform with a Picatinny rail is attached for mounting the rifle scope.
