The story of this company begins in Ukraine, when two aeronautical engineers from Kiev came up with the idea to produce their own PCP air rifle. It is worth mentioning that one of them was part of the development team of the legendary Antonov An-225 Mriya aircraft. Their plans began to take shape after the deal with the Czech company BULLET PROJECT, which secured the whole project. All of the Taipan models are currently being assembled and finished in the Czech Republic.
Taipan produces high-end PCP air rifles which are mostly known for their bullpup design. It offers compact size and great maneuverability thanks to the rear placement of the magazine and the chamber, while still keeping a full-size barrel. This allows the rifles to be quite light and compact but still retain their accuracy and long-range potential.
In 2023 the company started producing the completely reworked and improved Taipan Veteran II series of airguns.
Taipan Characteristics
Taipan airguns are held in high regard thanks to their manufacturing quality, excellent fit and finish and unparalleled accuracy. That is mainly provided by CZUB and Lothar Walther barrels. Veteran II received a number of major improvements and chief among them is the completely reworked cocking mechanism, which was moved forward to be placed just above the trigger – in the perfect reach of your trigger finger.
The free floating barrel is another prominent new feature. Unlike the original Taipan, the barrel is now completely free of any bands. This means that the barrel will always hold your zero.
Taipan Veteran II Laminate
Key features
Taipan Veteran II comes with a synthetic or laminate stock, in either standard or tactical variants. Other parts are made from aircraft-grade aluminium and high-quality steel. All of the parts of the trigger mechanism are CNC-machined. Magazines are still hand-made. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail on the top of the barrel is in the same axis with the barrel and offers an unparalleled accuracy.
