PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
An inexpensive plastic bottle from the American manufacturer of water filters Sawyer. Inside is the Sawyer Mini water filter, which can be easily removed and can therefore be used as standard in combination with a collapsible bottle, PET bottle or as a gravity filter.
The bottle itself weighs 180 g and has a capacity of 950 ml. It is fitted with a flip-top cap and is BPA-free. It is 273 mm high and has a diameter of 80 mm.
The Sawyer Mini is a very simple filtration system with a huge lifespan, capable of filtering up to 378,000 litres of water. The PointONE technology that this filter uses has an absolute pore size of 0.1 micron. This allows it to filter out 99.99999% of all harmful bacteria such as salmonella, cholera, E. coli. We recommend filtering only water without solid particles such as sand or mud. The filter would become unnecessarily clogged and you would have to clean it more often.
The only potential weakness is its sensitivity to frost. If the filter is wet and freezes, it can either crack or become damaged in some way. Then it is not recommended to use it anymore.
