The thermal underwear is made of high quality polyester, which is insulated with Polar fleece. The combination of these materials has excellent thermal properties and absorbs moisture excellently. However, the underwear retains excellent breathability even if it gets wet - so it is still effective and will keep you warm down to -30 °C.
Another advantage is durability, both polyester and Polar fleece are very durable fabrics. So you can bypass the ravages of time, but not the ravages of taste.
