This rear add-on night vision unit from Valiant offers an excellent value for a very reasonable price. All you need to do is to attach it to the eyepiece of your scope. The device will utilize the magnification of your scope and you don’t have to zero your rifle again. We recommend using a quality scope with side focus to get the best possible picture. This model can withstand recoils of calibers up to .308 Win. and can be used with airguns as well.
Valiant NOX NV1 has two main modes for daytime (colour) and night (black and white). It is important to remember that this model was primarily designed as a night-vision unit and some colours in the daytime mode might not be accurate.
The detection range during the night reaches 200 m and you can also utilize the 1-4x digital zoom. The efficient 850nm IR illuminator can be adjusted with the zoom. Wildlife does not react to this type of illumination.
The display has a resolution of 640 x 640 px and the device is powered by the 18650 Li-Ion battery (not included). It can run for up to 8 hours with the illuminator turned off and about 4,5 hours with the illuminator turned on. It is also outfitted with a micro HDMI slot.
This model is capable of capturing both photos and videos in Full HD resolution and storing it onto a Micro-SD card.
The password for wifi connection is 12345678 (network name NVowl). The recording can then be played via the Ricam application (free download on Google Play and Appstore).
The menu and the manual both state that this device is able to record audio. This is sadly not the case and Valiant NOX NV1 does not record audio!
Always charge the 18650 battery with an external charger (MC1KT). Charging the battery inside the unit can cause problems in the internal parts of the device (Valiant Nox NV1 does not have a built-in external battery charge indicator).
The supplied 18650 battery has only a basic capacity and if you want to increase the operating time of the device, we recommend purchasing one of the compatible batteries, which can be found below in the We also recommend buying section.

few days ago about – what is included. To the seller's detriment, the
„Seller's Answer“ was inadequate for the buyer – i.e. it was stated
approximately „…in the product text“. So set the record straight: the
package includes – NOX NV1 primer, plus an extended battery cover designed
for batteries with control electronics (they are a few mm longer than the
standard 18650), rubber eyepiece of approx. 6cm length (bayonet fitting),USB
connection cable, bayonet adapter for the eyepiece of the rifle scope, Czech
instructions, and the most important thing – EXTRACTING RINGS made of ABS
material (they are half-size, 7 pairs in total, which is positive). Otherwise
the controls are intuitive, everything works as it should. The sharpening of the
principle flexible, IR LED Brightnes 3 levels, LCD brigh 5 levels, record
video 1920×1080 30P and 1280×720 60P, exposure adjustment for photo in a wide
range, etc. Too bad it is not listed pass to WiFi for sharing on another device
!! Worth mentioning is also the possibility of focusing and defocusing the IR
beam in relation to the quality of the image in relation to the distance of the
object under observation. In my own words – thumbs up for me !
