The Colt Single Action Army SAA.45 was first introduced to the public in 2015 at a trade show in Germany. Now the manufacturer has come up with a new version in the form of a pellet version with a rifled barrel.
The all-metal frame of the revolver has a shiny nickel finish with gold accessories. The Polymer barrels mimic ivory in appearance. The cartridges filled with pellets are inserted into a 6-chambered drum. The combination of a long 5.5" rifled barrel and lead pellets gives this revolver great accuracy.
The internal mechanism is powered by a 12g CO2 bomb which is inserted into the grip when the barrel is unscrewed. The trigger mechanism operates only in Single Action mode. In this case, it is necessary to pull the two-position trigger before each shot. A light pull will only rotate the hammer, only a full pull to the rear position will prepare the revolver for firing. The hammer can only be turned when the hammer is in the first cocked position. The revolver can be secured by a manual safety located in front of the hammer.
